Low-field optically detected magnetic resonance of a coupled triplet-doublet defect pair in diamond.

چکیده
Microwave-induced changes in the optical emission of the NV center in diamond have previously been attributed to magnetic resonance of the defect in its A ground state [E. van Oort et al. , J. Phys. C 21, 4385 (1988)]. In this paper, the focus is on the origin of the hyperfine splittings that are observed in the optically detected magnetic-resonance (ODMR) spectra at zero and low magnetic fields. Detailed analysis of the anisotropic behavior of the line splittings in a magnetic field shows that the hyperfine structure arises from triplet-doublet magnetic dipolar interactions of NV centers and P] centers (with S = —, ' ). The ODMR spectrum of the N-V center appears to display the nitrogen hyperfine interaction characteristic of the P] center.

Excited-state spectroscopy of single NV defect in diamond using optically detected magnetic resonance
Using pulsed optically detected magnetic resonance techniques, we directly probe electron-spin resonance transitions in the excited-state of single Nitrogen-Vacancy color centers in diamond. Unambiguous assignment of excited state fine structure is made, based on changes of NV defect photoluminescence lifetime. This study provides significant insight into the structure of the emitting E excited...
متن کاملHigh sensitivity magnetic imaging using an array of spins in diamond.
We present a solid state magnetic field imaging technique using a two-dimensional array of spins in diamond. The magnetic sensing spin array is made of nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers created at shallow depths. Their optical response is used for measuring external magnetic fields in close proximity. Optically detected magnetic resonance is read out from a 60 x 60 microm(2) field of view in a mult...
متن کاملMeasurement of the Earth’s Magnetic Field Vector based on zero field finding algorithm using optically pumped magnetometers
Atomic magnetometers have found widespread applications in precise measurement of the Earth’s magnetic field due to their high sensitivity. In these measurements, various methods have been utilized to compensate the Earth’s magnetic field in an unshielded environment. In this paper, we have proposed a method based on finding the minimum resonance frequency (corresponding to minimum magnetic fie...

The ground state energies of two interacting electrons confined in a coupled double quantum dot (DQD) presented in a magnetic field has been calculated by solving the relative Hamiltonian using variational and exact diagonalization methods. The singlet-triplet transitions in the angular momentum and spin of the quantum dot ground state had been shown .We have studied the magnetic field versus c...
